Tim's Words
That's why animals are so great, because they're just pure instinct. And when you really get into them, you see that birds are even better than animals, because they have nothing. They're not even like a cat or a dog-- they just fly.

folder_icons/generic_open.gif 1968 and 1970 Happy Mad

(0/10)

Recorded from Top Gear, October 1, 1968. This is Adrie Meijer's revision of the Happy Mad-album. He cut out some technical imperfections and the voice of the BBC-announcer, He replaced the two "Copenhagen tracks" (which sound much better on the Copenhagen tapes) with Song to the siren (Monkees show) and an extra Morning glory (BBC television), with an instrumental outfade.

01 - Morning glory
02 - Happy Time
03 - Love from Room 109 (first part)
04 - Sing a Song for you
05 - Song to the Siren
06 - Troubadour
07 - The Train
08 - Morning Glory

folder_icons/generic_open.gif 1969 Version 1 - Santa Monica Auditorium (Los Angeles)

(0/11)
There are 2 different versions of this bootleg. A few songs are the same songs, but different quality, the second version is not as complete as the first version but is better quality and the versions of 'Gypsy Woman' are completely different versions. I post both versions here for you to decide.

01 - Strange Feeling
02 - Blue Melody
03 - Morning Glory
04 - Cafe
05 - I Woke Up
06 - Moulin Rouge
07 - Jungle Fire
08 - Dolphins
09 - Gypsy Woman
10 - Once I Was

My suggestion is to download the following from this version:

  • Cafe
  • I Woke Up
  • Moulin Rouge
  • Jungle Fire
  • Gypsy Woman

And then download all songs from the other version.

  • folder_icons/generic_open.gif 1969 Version 2 - Santa Monica Auditorium (Los Angeles)

    (0/8)

This is a second version of the bootleg.

I suggest downloading all of the songs from this version and only a number of the songs from version 1

The Full Songlist is as follows:

    01 - Blue Melody
    02 - Pleasant Street
    03 - Strange Feeling
    04 - Morning Glory
    05 - Dolphins
    06 - Jungle Fire
    08 - Gypsy Woman
    09 - Once I Was

    folder_icons/generic_open.gif 1972 Boarding House

    (0/5)
The original recording was made by, and used here by kind permission of Robert Wieser, who wrote to Adrie Meijer: The Boarding house is complete. KPFA was broadcasting a live Taj mahal concert, and as filler before the show (or between sets - I can't remember) they played the Buckley show which they'd recorded but not broadcast the week before. I grabbed a fresh reel (do you remember reel-to-reel) and slapped it on. They had not announced that they'd play Tim, that's why it doesn't have the beginning of Gypsy Woman. I screwed up the left/right channel in my haste, and corrected it shortly after the recording began. They only played 4 songs, and made some comment about the poor recording (levels fluctuate).
