TIM BUCKLEY GUITAR TABS & CHORDS Back to the songbook
Back to songbook

Meet the maker
My name is Adrie Meijer. I was born in 1957 in the Netherlands.

I work as a teacher in primary school. In former days I worked as a music teacher. I started playing the guitar in 1975, inspired by singer-songwriters like Al Stewart, James Taylor and Stephen Stills.

I bought my first Tim Buckley record, Look at the fool, in 1976, after reading an article in a Dutch magazine about his life and tragic death. When I put on the record for the first time I felt disappointed when I heard horns, electric guitars and a voice that was quite different from all the folkies I listened to.
But I decided to give it a chance, bought Happy Sad a month later and then my fascination for Tim Buckley started.

One day I searched the World Wide Web for Tim Buckley Guitar Tabs but the results were very poor.

Then I  decided to make this songbook.

Tim's guitar tuning
Lee Underwood wrote me a letter to explain how Tim tuned his guitar. Very important information for those who want to play along with his songs. Read it.

My Tim Buckley collection
I thought I had my collection complete when I finally acquired Blue Afternoon in 1982. But now, twenty years later  my cd-collection not only includes these nine official albums, but also all the posthumous releases and various bootlegs. View my Tim Buckley collection.

Twelve to six
I am very proud of my two cd's with instrumental Tim Buckley songs arranged for acoustic guitar.
Nothing commercial of course, I made it for fun. Read more about it
