OK, I have fixed the problem.. I had some changes made to the server last week to improve functionality. It added some security features which was preventing the downloads from working.
Anyway, what's more important is that it's working now.

I have just listened again to my boots of Tim, both downloaded here or on Soulseek, and I have a version of "Café" (Santa Monica) which sounds better than ours, here, in my opinion.
It's a pity it was cut at the beginning and the end... What do you think about the sound, anyway ?

This version might be mixed by John Balkin, Tim's bass p_layer_. The original "Santa Monica 1969" recording is awful, sound is very poor, full of clicks, lots of treble and no bass at all. John's remix was brilliant, but he left out half of the tracks, like the marvelous "Jungle Fire". I did another remix from the original recording, worked on it for months but I couldn't equal John's sound quality. So my version (in the Tim Buckley mp3 section) offers more songs, but less hi-fi.
I've only just found this site (through a post on dimeadozen) and I need to say a big thanks for the bootleg downloads. I've been a fan of Tim since the late '70's and have never been in the know on where to find bootlegs. Having also just got broadband, this site to me is like the holy grail! And to find live recordings of the 1970 Starsailor period is wonderful. I'll stop now before I go over the top.
I've downloaded a couple of files of the Escondido show. I recall when this circulated on the Starsailor message board all those years ago. The thing I wonder about though is the pitch. Tim's voice seems speeded up, like the helium effect. I've lowered my files from the disc a semitone and Tim sounds much more normal.
Has this been brought up before? Are pitch-corrected versions doing the rounds?
