Tim's Words
I don't know anything about God or religion or anything like that. I just believe in people and what can happen between people. Being a musician I see the power of music much more than I see the power of God.

Wonder if the project is already addressing the Boboquivari program?
Since MY Fleeting House skipped most of it I would think there was an opening to release it separately.
What I'd be interested in seeing is a 2disc cd/dvd of the performance in audio and cd form. Hopefully with extra material, possibly another live set from the period if masters of such exist. It could also contain the one officially recorded performance left over that was on the bootleg but not on MFH, Honeyman from OGWT. I don't think the BBC have released it, the OGWT dvd has the Dolphins from that appearance not Honeyman. For novelty it could also have the Why clip. Does more than 3 minutes of that exist anyway?
I think just releasing Boboquivari on its own as a dvd is a little light on vfm. Utterly great performance as it is, 30 minutes on its own on a dvd is a little too close to shortchanging.
Would also picture a nice booklet containing linernotes from whoever of that band is still around plus whatever photos contemporary to the show there are.

HERE IS 10-15 MINUTES OF "WHY?", as posted below Steve-os MFH critique.

This is one of the reasons I dropped out of the Starsailor chat group...no one reads posts and makes connections between ideas. (sideways winking smiley face)

I thought there was only a very little of the Why film still in existence. Thought it was never completed or something. Is there much more than you posted?
After a recent argument on that list I could see why anybody would drop out.
Talk about circular argument. Auteurship claimed on material recorded 37 years before a certain product was put out by the person putting the product out.

Exactly. If you're talking about Manifesto and the MFH DVD, and the delays, people asking repeatedly about who's making money on it, etc., it was a drag. That and all the spam starting to appear. And all the little relationships and their in-jokes and postings with zero substance. But I'm not bitter...

If you look at http://timbuckleyroom109.homestead.com/Videoclips.html the person who owns the page talks about the history of "Why?" and discussions he had with the director. The director only allowed the guy to copy TB's and OJ Simpson's scenes (only TB's are posted). The director wasn't happy with the film overall, I guess. When you watch TB's scenes they are out of context, but still really interesting.

The film was completed and shown in really limited release, if it appeared in theaters at all. It was shot on videotape as a kind of experiment, and got rave reviews from the US government (there's a thank you letter to the director on the site), but it exists. The person who owns the page said the movie is dated, but is still interesting to watch.
